BREG TOURIST FARM
Good food, fine wines and friendly people, in an environment that has not yet been overtaken by the noise of civilisation. On a hill rising above the river is the Breg Farm. The views stretch from the picturesque Brda-Friuli landscape with its vineyards and olive groves to the Kanin and the Dolomites. The culinary offer is based exclusively on local seasonal food and homemade wines and fruit juices. The accommodation is in two old farmhouses, whose rooms are named after the Brda fruit. Special offer: lunch under the olive tree.
RESTAURANT
We will spoil you with old recipes of typical Brda and Friulian cuisine with lots of herbs, home-grown vegetables, meat and wine, homemade jams, honey, pasta and bread. Our specialities include escargot dishes with vegetables, seasonal stews, frtalja, Friulian “friko”, gnocchi stuffed with aromatic herbs and fruit, “nonin toč” toast with prosciutto and white polenta, lasagna (pasticcio) with seasonal vegetables and seasonal chestnut and pumpkin dishes. In autumn, we will serve chestnut minestrone with porcini mushrooms, and mushrooms will be picked from under the chestnut trees around the house. You will enjoy delicious strudels and fruit desserts, and taste a variety of cheeses, which will be served with homemade honey (flower, acacia, chestnut and linden).

LUNCH UNDER THE OLIVE TREE
The chirping of playful birds hidden among the olive trees, the caressing rays of the sun, the infinity of a moment of relaxation, embracing the nature and the flavours of Brda. All this is served at the lunch under the olive tree at Breg Tourist Farm. You can experience a romantic moment for two, a playful family afternoon or a special gathering among friends. Simply choose your favourites from a menu of local, seasonal Brda produce. Stunning flavours, a blanket, napkins and all the accessories in harmony with nature will be waiting for you in a specially prepared basket, which will take you along a path where hearts woven from willow twigs will escort you past a field of lavender to an olive grove with a beautiful view of the Idrija Valley. Treat yourself to a relaxing and gastronomically indulgent hour at the Brda olive grove.
ROOMS
We will escort you to the guest houses, which are just 500 metres from the farm. A macadam path will lead you between vineyards and olive groves, past the 200-year-old mighty Joščev oak. Two old farm buildings have been converted into neat cottages and the rooms have been named after typical Brda fruits and berries: cherry, grape, chestnut, apple and strawberry. In the morning, you'll wake up to the bleating of goats grazing under the cottages, and in the summer, you'll be lulled to sleep by the crickets on warm nights. Wood-burning stoves have been installed in all the rooms and the furnishings have been hand-painted in soft colours. In one of the cottages, we have set up a kitchen, which we call the “Apricot” Kitchen. It can seat ten to twelve people in a cosy atmosphere. We have equipped the kitchen with a cooker, a fridge, all the utensils, a TV and, to make sure you don't get cold in winter, a wood-burning stove.
