Brda offers excellent climatic conditions for growing top-quality grapes and thus producing exceptional wines. We enjoy the warmth coming from the sea and the fresh breeze from the beautiful Alps. This combination—warm days and cool nights—perfectly suits the local grape varieties. In addition to the pleasant climate, Brda has another important factor for premium grape production: the marl (flysch) soil called opoka—modest yet rich in minerals.

They cultivate several vineyards spread over 11 hectares in the village of Biljana. The location of each vineyard was carefully chosen according to the needs of each grape variety. As Brda is a hilly region, the vineyards are planted on terraced slopes. The vineyards used for sparkling wine production are located in the lower areas. Most work in the vineyards is done by hand, especially during harvest, when the grapes are hand-picked. No machine can replace the human touch. This is a key factor in achieving high wine quality, as each cluster must be inspected individually before processing.
