BrdaVineyard Heroes Cycling Marathon is a traditional sports event organized by the Wine Cellar “Goriška Brda” and takes place each year in the scope of the Cherry Festival.
29th Heroes of the Vineyards Cycling Marathon will take place this year in its traditional format, on Saturday, May 31st 2025.
The route of the recreational marathon is 108 kilometers long – starting at 8:30 a.m. in Ljubljana and leading through Vrhnika, Logatec, over Črni vrh. The stop is in Ajdovščina near Fructal, where the main group will be joined by the tandems of the Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired, and then they will continue their journey together towards Nova Gorica, across Sabotin to Brda, where the marathon ends at the organizer’s headquarters, in Dobrovo.
