16th Brda Contemporary Music Festival

Join us for the 16th edition of BCMF!

The Brda Contemporary Music Festival, dedicated to creative music and improvisation, returns for its 16th edition to the heart of the Goriška Brda region from 10 to 12 September 2026. This unique area is renowned for the meeting of Slovenian, Friulian and Italian cultures.

One of the festival's main goals is to create a meeting point for the Slovenian, Italian and international music scenes by bringing together young musicians, established artists and audiences, while continuing the invaluable work of those who have shaped the festival over the years.

The festival also brings contemporary creative music into dialogue with other art forms, such as visual arts and poetry, enriching the local cultural landscape and opening this former border region to an international artistic panorama.

This year's festival will once again take place in the former cinema hall in Medana and at the Gradnik and Zorzut Memorial House.
