Experience the Magic of Autumn in Brda – St. Martin’s Celebration in Šmartno

St. Martin’s Day in Šmartno remains a celebration of authenticity, tradition, and the warm hospitality of Brda. Enter the charming village where culture is a way of life – as if stepping into the living room of the people of Brda.

Experience St. Martin’s celebration among the stone alleys of the most beautiful medieval village far and wide, with selected experiences.

12 PM – 3 PM / Cooking workshop with Briške women and girls and twin municipalities, and friends: 
SLOVENIA – Miren - Orehovlje, CROATIA – Matulji, AUSTRIA – Bleiburg, ITALY – San Floriano (House of Culture)

12 PM – 6 PM / Presentation of participating winemakers (Pršutera)

12 PM; 2 PM; 5 PM / Guided olive oil tasting with olive grower Davis Prinčič (Nonet Tower)


The organiser reserves the right to make changes to the programme.


PRICE:

  • €20 (includes glass with pouch, tasting of young wine, workshops with winemakers and olive growers, and panel discussion, free bus ride)
  • €5 (entry fee from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for visitors who do not purchase a glass). Children and young people up to 18 years of age have free admission.

Entry with your own glass is not allowed.


On Saturday, a shuttle bus service will be available throughout Brda and on the route Nova Gorica – Šmartno – Nova Gorica.

The bus ride is free.

Dogs are not allowed on the buses.

The organiser reserves the right to modify the programme.


PRICE:

  • €15 (includes glass with pouch, tasting of young wine, and workshops with winemakers and olive growers).
  • A €5 deposit for the glass can be refunded at the main ticket office upon presentation of a valid receipt from Sunday 

Tickets can be purchased only at the ticket office in the village of Šmartno.

Entry with your own glass is not allowed.


Warmth, culture, tradition, and local character – that’s how St. Martin’s Day is celebrated in Šmartno.
