Giro D'Italia 2025 also in Brda
On Saturday, May 24th, Goriška Brda with the Italian part of Brda, Collio, and Nova Gorica with neighbouring Gorizia will be the venue of the cross-border pink ribbon of the international and massively watched, biggest Italian sporting event, the 108th G I R O D' I T A L I A cycling caravan!
The laps will take place on our exceptional hills, endowed with vineyards, fruit and olive trees!
The cyclists will enter Slovenia at Plešivo, cross Brda and ride through Medana, Dobrova, Šmartno, Kojsko and Hum. The route will return to Italy for a few kilometres, just like in 2021, and will pass through Števerjan to Nova Gorica.
Join us along the route and cheer on the competitors with loud support!
You're especially welcome to gather at Trg 25. maja in Dobrovo, where you’ll be able to follow the race live on the big screen. Let’s create an unforgettable sports experience together!
What is even more exciting is that slovene cycling champion Primož Roglič has confirmed his participation in the Giro! This will be a unique opportunity to support him live on home soil and experience a real cycling spectacle!
Follow the route of the 14th cross-border stage of this prestigious Giro d'Italia race, which will be watched on TV screens by over 800 million viewers from 198 countries.
Full road closure on the route in Brda will be from 1 PM to 5 PM!
