Villa Zerou is located in the village of Gornje Cerovo, at the crossroads of the Slovenian–Italian border, where the Slovenian Brda meet the Italian Collio. Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, Villa Zerou is a harmonious blend of nature, tradition, and modern luxury.

The inspiration for the name comes from ancient oak trees known as "cer". In the Brda region, oaks—including the cer oak—were once very common, thriving on sunny, dry hillsides and playing an important role in agriculture and viticulture. The word cer is still preserved in the Slovenian language today, while in the past scribes often recorded names phonetically in their own way, such as Cerou, Zeraw, or Zerou.

Villa Zerou therefore carries the name of its home and its natural heritage.
