Dried fruits

Drying has always been the simplest and most practical method of canning. Today in Brda almost all fruit can be dried. Preparations for drying were necessary since there were always a lot of fruits in Brda. The fruit was dried on the sun, on “picon” (reed or hazel woven board).

In addition to cherries, apples, apricots and figs, dried persimmons are gaining popularity.
